First Turf and Ornamental Corp (First Turf) is pleased to announce the hiring of Brandon Anderson as Sales Representative for the Eastern Ohio and West Virginia territories. Having been a trusted First Turf customer for years, Brandon will be responsible not only for sales growth across the region, but also for strengthening First Turf’s presence and relationships within these key markets.
Brandon brings more than 15 years of hands-on turfgrass industry experience, with a career rooted in golf course management and agronomic excellence. A native of DuBois, Pennsylvania, he began his professional journey at DuBois Country Club shortly after graduating high school. He went on to earn a degree in Turfgrass Science from Penn State University, where he gained valuable experience working at Beaver Stadium, the Blue and White Golf Courses, and interning at Treasure Lake in Dubois.
After graduating in 2010, Brandon served as Assistant Superintendent at Whispering Woods Golf Club in Erie, Pennsylvania, before moving to Pittsburgh in 2011 to take an assistant position at Edgewood Country Club. During this time, he and his wife Lauren welcomed their two children, Jordan and Sophia. In 2019, Brandon and his family made a bold move to Hawaii, where he held an assistant superintendent position at Kapolei Golf Club. Following their return to Pennsylvania in 2020, Brandon was named Golf Course Superintendent at Whispering Woods Golf Club in 2021. At the end of 2025, he left the position to pursue a new opportunity with First Turf.
“The ability to meet and help fellow peers in the industry with their turf product needs is what drew me to this position at First Turf,” said Brandon. “I’m excited to share what I’ve learned over the past 15 years to help others accomplish their goals.”
